Bethlehem Lutheran Church has been an active witness for the Christian Faith since 1896. Through the years many things have changed for the congregation, but our faith in Christ has remained the solid rock and immovable foundation that keeps the mission and ministry of this congregation alive and thriving through both good and hard times.

Bethlehem is a congregation of the Northern illinois Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Our networks for ministry are local, regional and global. Some of our local missions include our Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, food pantry, we are a partner congregation in Love In the Name of Christ of DeKalb/Sycamore, and active supporters of Lutheran Campus Ministry at Northern illinois University. Our regional mission highlights include the congregation's active involvment and support of our synod, Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center, and numerous other minitries. Our global mission includes support and prayers for St. Mary's Lutheran Parish, St. Petersburg, Russia; Naberera Lutheran Parish, Arusha Diocese, Tanzania; and, the Arcot Lutheran Church, Tamil Nadu, India. We pray regularly for our neighbors locally, regionally, and globally.

I invite you to come to Bethlehem, worship with us, ask us questions, and stay for coffee. This congregation serves 5 generations of people as we seek to live out the Gospel faithfully in this time and place.
